Beloved College of Charleston theater professor Joy Vandervort-Cobb returns for Moments of Joy, a cabaret that sums up her personality. Straight-A students should definitely be in attendance, especially if they want extra credit, or even to learn more about their professor. It's a chance rarely granted to students.

Life story
Vandervort-Cobb's Moments of Joy describes the people who helped her become the vibrant, hilarious woman she is today, including her grandmother, mother, and aunt. They provide entertaining commentary on her timeline from growing up in the 1970s to starting college at 16 to the present day, acting as the angels and devils on her shoulders.

She has been a part of the festival for many years, with past performances including The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe and Torn.
