If you’re looking for a St. Patrick’s Day event that’s fun for the entire family, then visit North Charleston’s St. Paddy’s Day Block Party and Parade. The parade, led by Grand Marshall (and City of North Charleston Council Member) Bob King, will begin at Park Place East at 12 p.m., head up East Montague Avenue, and conclude at the block party location near Madra Rua. North Chuck Mayor Keith Summey will be in the parade, and the celebration will include live Irish music by Kyle Byrne and party music from Super Deluxe. The block party will feature Irish dancing, bagpipe music, a jump castle, face painting, a mechanical bull, food vendors, corned beef and cabbage, a DJ, Irish trivia, prizes, and more. Be prepared for closures on East Montague and pinches if you’re not wearing green.
