JERSEY SHORE. Hailing from Summit, N.J., this is the 10th time that the Antioch Chamber Ensemble will perform at Piccolo Spoleto. "It is truly our favorite concert to perform during our busy season," says Joshua Copeland, the group's artistic director. The ensemble will premier R. Douglas Helvering's In Tempore, which was commissioned specifically for this show.
CAROLINA GOLD. Meanwhile, Renaissance, a 36-voice ensemble, comes to Charleston from Charlotte, N.C. They'll perform works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Samuel Barber, de Lassus, Handel, Finzi, and Schubert.
SUNDAY BEST. In addition to their Piccolo show, the Antioch ensemble will also be performing sacred choral works as part of St. Philip's church service on Sunday.
