Songs of the Holocaust

A remembrance of the Holocaust in song

What is it? A remembrance of the Holocaust in song.

Why see it? Musical remembrances of the Holocaust not only serve to remind humanity of that dark chapter of history, but also highlight the ongoing struggle and perhaps, most importantly, serve as a means of healing. The William Baker Festival Singers perform an eclectic program in their inimitable a cappella style, ranging from spirituals and Hanukkah songs to selections from the oratorios of Handel. Our featured soloist for this program will be soprano Maggie Cook.

Who should go? Anyone with an interest in choral music will find a great deal to enjoy in the wide range of selections slated for performance. Given the concert's purpose, anyone with a heartbeat should be proud to be touched in this manner.

PICCOLO SPOLETO • Free • 1 hour • May 23 at 7 p.m. • Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim, 90 Hasell St. • (888) 374-2656
