Charleston indie band Slow Runner — singer/pianist Michael Flynn and multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaler — enjoyed a busy summer and fall on and off the road behind their dynamic new album
Damage Points. They return to town this weekend from a road trip to New England, and they’ll play a headlining show at the Pour House on Friday. Kaler produced the new collection at Hello Telescope, a studio he shares with Jay Clifford (see
review). Kaler and Flynn recently released a new music video for the song “Strange Days,” featuring stop-motion animation and puppets that resemble them. They welcome a handful of special guests to the stage this week. Opening acts include singer/songwriter Joel T. Hamilton and up-and-coming local indie trio HeyRocco.
