The Charleston chapter of the national Slow Food USA movement is ending the year with a meeting and potluck dinner. Slow Food's mission is to change our food system in a dramatic and long lasting way by reconnecting people with traditions, plants, animals, and farms that produce our foods.
The Glass Onion in West Ashley plays hosts for the afternoon. There is no cost to attend, but guests are strongly encouraged to bring one dish made of local and seasonal foods to share (our suggestions: pumpkin soup, roasted root vegetables, chili made with grassfed beef). This is a chance to meet and greet with current and prospective members, learn more about the non-profit organization, and get upcoming event and membership information.
