California’s punk-tinged, rock/reggae band Slightly Stoopid headlines the Music Farm this week during a stop on their winter tour. Slightly Stoopid gained fame after signing to former Sublime member Bradley Nowell’s Skunk Records while they were still in high school. More than a decade later, the trio is still busting out “oceanic slabs of bass” and perfecting their “stealth groove.” The last record the six-piece band put out was 2008’s
Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid. Fishbone, the oddball Cali-based ska/punk band who gathered a cult following in the late ’80s, is set to open. Led by eccentric vocalist Angelo Moore, they made a splash in 1985 with their self-titled debut EP. The two groups have been traveling together down the East Coast and are sure to set the stage for some righteous mosh pits.
