This classic general store (with ethanol-free fuel) out past Mt. Pleasant is stocked to the rafters with cool stuff. In the front, they have everything from casting nets to fishing hats, sunglasses, and fresh bait. In the back, they have grocery shelves and coolers filled with anything you might need for a fishing trip (Oreos, Doritos, Cokes, and the like) or a weekend at your fancy DeBordieu beach house (sausage, eggs, Callie's Biscuits). In the freezers, you'll find Bertolini pastas, Caw Caw Creek pork, and any number of other locally grown and made treasures. We like to browse the jellies, pickles, and preserves, usually picking a couple of choice ones to go with our biscuits. —Stephanie Barna
