To do well in business, you can learn a thing or two from those who blazed the trail before you. Lowcountry Local First’s GOODBusiness Summit is a one-day event that explores how successful entrepreneurs can do well in business while impacting their community in a positive way. The GOODBusiness Summit will feature 30 speakers, including Mike Lata, chef and owner of FIG and The Ordinary; Adam Fetsch of Rewined; and Jessica Derrick, vice president and brand development director of Garden & Gun, along with a power conglomeration of some of Charleston’s most successful business leaders. “We’re expecting about 200 people, that was our goal, and we’re nearing it quickly. It has already tripled from last year,” says Misty Lister, Lowcountry Local First’s marketing and communications director. Topics include moving past the startup stage and into business adolescence, how to find the best location for your business, and how to better collaborate in and across industries. Breakfast from Caviar & Bananas and Coastal Coffee Roasters and lunch from Verde will be served. The day closes with a networking happy hour where you can mingle with fellow Charleston entrepreneurs.
