Those of us with a passion for fashion get a little weary of the high-end attitudes and tourist traps that often surround Charleston’s fashion scene. Luckily, we can venture to the Tin Roof, where Runaround Sue’s Vintage Charity Fashion Show will present a variety of cool vintage clothes. “Every vintage piece has a story behind it,” Runaround Sue founder (and CP contributor) Kelly Rae Smith says. And there should be no guilt in overindulging — your money goes straight to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. “I began planning the show as a response to the news that my friend’s cancer had returned,” says Smith. “I immediately decided to do a fundraiser to channel my emotions into something positive.” The event will also feature live music from local bands the V-Tones and the Flat Foot Floozies. Remember, the early bird gets the swag — the first 50 people to arrive will receive a gift bag filled with goodies from local businesses.
