Sidi Limehouse, probably the area’s most legendary and recognizable farmer, spends his days farming the land of Johns Island with curiosity and tenderness. He grows an abundant variety of vegetables and fruits and does what he can to give back to the land. From arugula and asparagus to cantaloupes, figs, and Meyer lemons, he grows it all. Sidi distributes to restaurants through Limehouse Produce (run by relations Jack and Andrea Limehouse) and sells at his roadside stand on Johns Island. Their CSA spring season starts in late April and will include crops like arugula, lettuces, asparagus, leeks, English peas, green beans, tomatoes, radishes, squash, and much more. Rosebank provides a few different options as far as retrieving your fresh produce: You can pick up your veggies from a number of locations, and if you’re living downtown, they’ll deliver a deluxe CSA box right to your doorstep.
