The Charleston City Paper's Jack Hunter is now the official blogger for the Ron Paul presidential campaign. Which of course is absolutely perfect for Hunter. As anyone who reads his weekly Southern Avenger column in the City Paper can attest, Hunter has long had a man-crush on the Texas Congressman.
"The movement Ron Paul built during his bid for the presidency in 2008 gave rise to the Tea Party and a rejuvenated popularity on the Right for limited government principles," Hunter says. "If Barry Goldwater was the standard bearer for conservatism in the 1960s and Ronald Reagan was in the '80s, Ron Paul unquestionably carries that torch today."
Hunter adds, "By helping to give his 2012 presidential campaign a voice, I look forward to not only being a part of history but political victory. Voters are fed up with the status quo, and no one has been fighting it harder, longer or more valiantly in modern American politics than Ron Paul."
Diehard Southern Avenger fans can breathe a sigh of relief since Hunter will continue to write a weekly column for the City Paper.
Previously, Hunter co-wrote Rand Paul's The Tea Party Goes to Washington.
