Get your Cracker Jacks ready — or in the RiverDogs’ case, boiled peanuts — and root for the home team at the RiverDogs opening game when they take on the Greenville Drive. And of course, with Bill Murray as the director of fun, there’s bound to be something special to mark the season opener. “In true Charleston style, the players will enter the stadium on horse-drawn carriages as the grand finale of our pre-game parade,” says Joey Cain, director of promotions. “We’ll be debuting our brand new technology, with a fully digital video board and scoreboard. We have all new between-inning promos.” And you should probably save room for some of that ballfield fare. Grab a beer shake, and try this year’s new hot dog creation: the sushi dog, a hot dog wrapped in a nori sheet with a wasabi, sweet and spicy mustard, and a cilantro/cabbage mixture.
