After living in Charleston for eight years, Ogburn is moving to Sante Fe, N.M. To honor his departure and celebrate his work, Rick Rhodes will showcase over 80 small digital photos of his travels from Jan. 17-27, with an opening reception on Thurs., Jan. 20 from 6-9 p.m. The exhibit includes landscapes and structural shots, both natural and man-made. The prints, originally funded by two S.C. Arts Commission grants, will be for sale at the gallery.
Although excited for a change of location and new inspiration, Ogburn says leaving the Lowcountry won't be easy. He has taught at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County in Camden, S.C. and worked as a Visual Arts and Illustration faculty member at Trident Technical College for the last seven years.
