Raval closing for good this Saturday

REV promises new concept, new name

Revolutionary Eating Ventures (REV), the company behind Poe's Tavern, Taco Boy, and Monza, will close Raval, their King Street tapas bar, this Saturday night to make way for a new restaurant, one with an entirely new, ultra-secretive concept. A set of revised plans for the new layout of the space have been submitted to the city and are pending approval.

Tim Mink of REV was reluctant to divulge many details about the new venture, beyond confirming that Raval is indeed closing Saturday, and they are hoping to be reopened by Labor Day with a new interior, new food, and new layout. We've got a call into Mink's partner at REV, Karalee Nielsen, to find out more. We promise we'll let you know more just as soon as we do.
