On July 19, more than 80 decorated rally cars, holding about 160 people from 29 states and Canada, left Lexington, Va., and are currently on their way to Charleston. The 1,300 mile trip will end at a finish line at the Charleston Marriott as part of Rally Appalachia 2011. The trek raises money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), an organization that helps support the families of military personnel who have died in service. The cars will start arriving at 4 p.m., and at 7 p.m., the celebration will move to Southend Brewery, where the Port City Prophets will provide the music.
