Race Across the Sky: Leadville Trail 100 will having a local showing

Watchstrong with Armstrong

Race Across the Sky: Leadville Trail 100 follows the annual 100-mile race in Leadville, Colo., in which pro and amateur cyclists have 12 hours to tackle over 14,000 vertical feet while enduring climate changes and physical fatigue. According to Fathom Events, which is bringing the event to select theaters, the race is “one of the most intense endurance races of all time,” and its contestants range from everyday joes to seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong.

The one-night event features a panel discussion with Armstrong and his coach, Chris Carmichael, and six-time Leadville 100 winner, Dave Wiens, which will air before the film. You can catch the screening at Regal Azalea Square Stadium 16 on Thurs. Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. For more information, including how to purchase tickets, visit fathomevents.com.
