Multi-generational, multi-racial, multi-cultural. Piccolo Spoleto's mission is to provide access to everyone, especially children. To make that happen, they have plenty of free events, like this one, and a diversity of programming that appeals to a wide audience. The finale embodies the spirit of Piccolo, with music, performances, and plenty of space to spread out and picnic.

One love. The Meditations are a legendary group from Jamaica. They formed in 1974 and have performed with the greats, from Bob Marley to Jimmy Cliff. Their laid-back vibe will set a peace-loving tone for the day.

Rewinding to the '60s. At 8 p.m., the Rewinders from Bowling Green, Ky., will join the Charleston Symphony Orchestra onstage for a nostalgic, yet rocking tribute to the Motown sound. Expect the crowd to get shagging.
