Take a virtual trip around downtown Halloween night

We got some mixed reviews on Halloween this year. The cops were out in full force as were the fire inspectors. Many parties were emptied out, broken up early, or just too full for comfort. Lines were ridiculously long. If you didn’t have a relaxed attitude about the night, chances are you had a pretty miserable one. But most people seemed to be having a damn good time despite the mayhem.

The Fangbanger’s Ball at Vue Friday night brought out cutesie couples and surprisingly few vampires. The Dark Arts Ball on Saturday featured bloody art and creative costumes. Trio and Upper King bars were full of jokers. And the Haunted Harborfest was packed to the gills ... until everyone was kicked out early.

We also sent out photographer Mike Ledford to document the insanity. He covered a lot of ground, stopping at Vickery’s, Light, the Music Farm, Pantheon, Upper Deck Tavern, and more. We think he did a great job of capturing the vibe of the night. Check out his slideshow to the right, and take a look at his personal site to see the full set.
