Spoletians are so spoiled. You get to enjoy all sorts of artistic events, never once wondering if maybe one of the Trocks is really into classical music, or maybe one of the members of the Reckoning has a soft spot for marrionettes. But, due to scheduling conflicts, they probably can’t enjoy most of the other festival events. Luckily, Pazzo Tomato has taken pity on these hard workers. The underground festival hosts their spectacle at midnight so that Spoleto performers can attend after the last shows of the night are done. The nights feature classically trained soprano Nicole Renaud and Marvelosa, a New York City-based performance art troupe guest directed by Gus Smythe. The first 10 Spoleto artists to arrive to the shows at La Fourchette will get in for free. All Spoletoers get one free drink ticket. And don’t worry, the regular public is invited too, but for a price. Though the possibility of getting to hang out with Otto and Astrid Rot of Die Roten Punkte would be worth any admission fee.
