Even though Elise Testone finished sixth in season 11 of American Idol, she will always be Charleston’s number one. And now we can show her how much we love her by attending this Friday’s Party at the Point. Originally scheduled as the final show of this year’s Party at the Point, Testone will now play the penultimate performance due to a rain cancellation of the Stop Light Observations show (which will now wrap up the series on July 5). Despite the abundance of rain this summer, Rob Lamble of Ear for Music, one of the sponsors of the event, says, “It’s our best season to date in the 13 years we have been hosting the series.” Lamble loves Party at the Point for its ability to gather people together at the end of a long, hot week for great music by local artists. And the $2 Keystone drafts certainly don’t hurt. At Friday night’s party, Testone will be playing all night long with a slew of local musicians. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Gates open at 5:30 and music begins at 6:30 p.m.
