Charleston Fine Art Dealers’ Association’s Palette & Palate Stroll is one of the most eagerly awaited summertime events. That’s probably because of its combination of two Charleston faves: food and art.
Attendees can meander in the setting sun from gallery to gallery to admire art from nationally and internationally renowned artists. Each of the nine participating galleries are located within a half-mile radius, and best of all, each location has been carefully paired with a local restaurant.
Together, they’ll offer what Lese Corrigan of CFADA says will be “light fare and a refreshing drink” and “light and breezy artwork.” Tristan, Circa 1886, Anson, and Cypress are signed on for the event, as well as several other restaurants, so you’ll get your share of yummy eats.
To see the gallery and restaurant pairings, visit CFADA’s website. Now in its eighth year, the event raises funds for a visual arts scholarship that in the past has been awarded to Gibbes, Redux, and CofC’s Studio Art Department. The recipient of the scholarship is voted on every year, so there’s no telling which art venture might benefit this time.
