It’ll be an art junkie’s heaven this weekend at the third annual OPEN Arts Expo, presented by the Charleston Regional Alliance for the Arts and College of Charleston’s School of the Arts. Held in the College’s Cistern Yard, the OPEN Expo brings arts organizations from all over the city together for one creativity-filled day. You can sign your kid up for music lessons, buy season tickets to the theater, and even make some art yourself, all in one spot. “Not only will people already involved in the arts experience find something new, but people who may have never been to an arts show or musical performance in this community will enjoy OPEN,” says Maggie Hendrix, the executive director of the Alliance. Since more than 35 organizations, including the City Paper, will be participating this year, we think it’s a sure bet that you’ll find something to love.
