New Jack's Cosmic Dogs and Manny's now (almost) open

Free gyros for you at N. Chuck Manny's

The new Manny's in North Charleston, a spin-off from the original Greek restaurant with a different name and slightly different style, opened its doors the other day and will be having a grand opening celebration on June 10, giving away a free gyro to the first 50 people through the door. It's located in the Markets at Montague at 3032 W. Montague Ave # 201.

Another expanding local institution is Jack's Cosmic Dogs, which is bringing its out-of-this-world retro vibe to James Island. The new spot on Folly Road, next to Hot Wheels, is more spacious and will include an expanded arcade space and ice cream serving area. There will also be drive/walk-up windows for ice cream orders. Jack's menu will be almost identical to the original, but most likely with more ice cream to choose from. Jack's, located at 1531 Folly Road, is tentatively set to open on Saturday.
