New Year’s Eve has come and gone — and probably so have many resolutions. Why not make a new and different kind of resolution to be a little bad this year? Start it off with Dancefx’s Naughty New Year 2014: Adam & Eve | Original Sin, which dances through Genesis and the fall of man (thanks to that damn apple) as he grapples with the seven deadly sins. “We’ve got amazing characters and storylines. And the music is stupid good,” says Jenny Broe, executive director of Dancefx. “[I’m] so excited about this show. Our best yet I’d say.” This is the company’s fifth Naughty New Year, and its third at the Music Farm. “The first sin represented is pride. The Charleston Dance Project will dance a production to a remixed version of ‘Applause’ by Lady Gaga with masks and crazy outfits along with the song ‘Work Bitch’ by Britney Spears — very voguey and prideful,” says Broe. “My favorite sin represented is gluttony — big surprise there.” Well then, in true gluttonous style, we say bring it all on.
