You’re late! You’re late! For a very important date. Bring a blanket or lounge chair to Memorial Waterfront Park to watch Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland on Cinebarre’s giant inflatable screen. “Cinebarre will start grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers around 6 p.m., complete with all the good fixin’s,” says Nicole Harvey, special events planner for the town of Mt. Pleasant. Watch the sunset over the Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor while you wait for it to get just dark enough to accompany Alice in her psychedelic land of wonders. “Typically, we get anywhere from 300-500 people. We choose movies that will appeal to families with kids but also young adults, since the movie starts so late,” says Harvey. King of Pops and TNT Kettle Corn will be posted up for snacking and dessert. Alice in Wonderland will begin at sunset around 9 p.m.
