We prefer our monsters to be the ones who like cookies, but if you’re into the monsters of the truck variety then you’ll want to be in North Charleston this weekend for the Monster Jam. Trucks with wheels as big as a Mini Cooper will smash their way around a track, vying for first place. The drivers also really get into decorating their trucks, with big teeth, skulls, even a Batman logo appearing on. Manly named trucks, including the Predator, Prowler, and Stinger, are scheduled to appear. And if you want to get up-close-and-personal to some of these monster trucks, there’s a pit party for the Saturday jam that starts at 5 p.m. before the 7:30 p.m. race start. Alan Coker, marketing manager at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, let us know you’ll need an additional ticket ($10) for the party, which allows guests to walk the track, meet the competitors, and take photos with the trucks.
