The wife of country star Blake Shelton, and the daughter of a country guitarist Rick Lambert, Miranda Lambert has lived a life of country music biz action. The Texas native started playing guitar, singing, and writing songs in her teens, recording and releasing her first solo effort, a self-titled album, in 2001. In 2003, Lambert successfully auditioned for
Nashville Star, a reality TV series modeled after
American Idol. Her career has rocketed ever since. This month, she leads her On Fire Tour to Charleston (rescheduled from last September) with support from Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann. Lambert’s latest single, “Over You,” is currently in the Top 20 on the country airplay charts. Her 14-song album
Four the Record was certified Gold just before the New Year. Openers Young and Niemann bring a string of hot singles to the stage as well. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
