Mexican Cake Summer Tap Out

When: Sat., Aug. 31, 11:30 a.m. 2013
When people come from all over the country and stand in the rain waiting for a beer to debut, those suds must be pretty magical. That enchanting brew that had hundreds lining up is none other than Westbrook Brewery’s Mexican Cake, which the Craftsmen will tap for the Mexican Cake Summer Tap Out party. Some of Westbrook Brewery’s other beers will be available, but what everyone will want to put their lips on is the sweet and spicy Mexican Cake beer. “It’s a cult-following beer,” says Philip Fisher, director of operations of Craftsmen. “We may have a couple more rare Westbrook kegs.” Fisher couldn’t give away all of the secret brews, but he did tell us they’ll have a keg of Evil Twin Brewing’s Spicy Nacho. Keeping with the theme of the day, they plan to have a Mexican-American themed menu with tacos, chili rellenos, fish tostadas, and churros.
