Marvin Fleck started Marvin’s Seafood nearly 30 years ago, and his friends James and Fiona Richardson took it over from him about seven years ago. Marvin’s carries a variety of fresh fish, local shrimp (when in season), blue crabs, and local cluster oysters. Marvin’s also has a small take-out kitchen attached to the retail store. They fry croaker and whiting and consider their fried hard-shell crab to be a house specialty. Employees like to think of Marvin’s Seafood as more of a meeting place than a seafood shop. Customers return to enjoy their raw sense of humor, along with their raw fish.
