Mansions on the Moon, Signal Path, Wadata

When: Tue., April 10 2012
Price: $15, $12 (adv.)
Mansions on the Moon Listening to the chilly, whispery, melodic Mansions on the Moon’s catchy “Leaves Fall” might make your mind wander past the atmosphere and into deep space. Driven by a straightforward drum beat and accented by vintage synth tones, the tune allows lead vocalist/guitarist Ted Wendler to ease into his own dream-like state. “Leaves Fall” is just one of several impressive tracks on the L.A.-based band’s new mini album Lightyears Wendler and his bandmates — the Pnuma Trio’s Lane Shaw and Ben Hazlegrove — easily veer from crisp pop gems to down-tempo, ambient instrumentals on the five-song debut. The collection was released track-by-track over the past month, and it’s available as a free download for a limited time.
