Local soul/pop vocalist Lyndsey Goodman and her skillful jazz/soul combo wrap up their weekly residency at Torch Velvet Lounge (545 King St.) on Thurs. July 23 with special guest guitarist Tyler Ross on hand. Goodman sings with a smooth, jazzy style (she did well in recent American Idol auditions). In town from Wisconsin, Ross is a professor of jazz guitar at the College of Charleston. Goodman ships out to Alabama this week for over a month of work with the U.S. Air Force.
