Take an award-winning chef, drop him off at one of his favorite suppliers — a free-range farm that raises chicken, turkeys, and pigs — and give him his own free range to create a fresh, local menu, and you have yourself one amazing foodie event. The Lowcountry Field Feast invites diners to Keegan-Filion Farms in Walterboro to enjoy a family-style supper prepared by Mike Lata of FIG. The event begins at
3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and lasts until dark. The menu will include meats from Keegan-Filion and the best seasonal ingredients from local farmers. Libations will feature organic wines from Yellow + Blue and signature Field Feast cocktails from Single Barrel. The event benefits Lowcountry Local First, which has secured a biodiesel bus to transport the first 43 guests that are interested. The cost for the bus ride is $20 round-trip.
