When it comes to Iron Chef America, competitors are sworn to secrecy. They sign confidentiality agreements and are threatened with all sorts of fines and punishments if they dare to spill the beans, which makes the time between taping an Iron Chef episode and its air date interminably long.
But Chef Mike Lata of FIG was lucky. He taped his over the summer, while his colleague Sean Brock over at McCrady’s taped his a year ago. Both episodes will be airing in subsequent Sundays, but Lata’s up first. To celebrate, he’ll be hosting a live viewing party at Taco Boy. They’ll have a big outdoor screen along with some food and drink specials. It’s free and open to the public. So get on over there, drink some sparkling wine, and cheer Lata on. (And here’s our hunch: we think he won. Would he really want to gather a crowd to watch him lose?)
