I didn't watch the show last season, only read your recaps. I'm glad I can continue this as I was worried I'd have to actually watch it this season.
But several times in the past month I have left more than one bar because of children sitting at the bar. Not only is it illegal (I'm pretty sure) so I don't know why the managers allow it anyway, but single people don't want to sit at a table for four in a mass of screaming kids running around. I want to sit at the bar and unwind from my 12 hour shift in peace. So as much as your kids are enjoying watching football and having Shirley Temples please head to the back of the restaurant or just stay home.
I do not live on the peninsula and have never taken a cab home. I have been told by multiple drivers "I don't go out to James Island, Folly, etc." We even offered them double the fare and was still told no. If the taxis are so upset about Uber coming to Charleston then drivers need to be willing to take people where they need to go. I work in tourism and many of my customers have said they used it the whole time they were here and the drivers were professional and took them anywhere they wanted to go in the city and surrounding areas.
