Rett King, a sixth-generation farmer on Edisto, cultivates 114 acres with help from his wife Bonnie and son Jamie, from which they stock their open-air market on Hwy. 174. They are a diversified farm, growing everything from asparagus to zucchini. Fairly new to the farm, they now offer grass-fed beef, like hamburger meat and kebabs. They also create and sell magnolia and Christmas wreaths and spin out crab cakes and onion pies from their certified kitchen. In addition to the we pick/you pick strawberries, you’ll be sure to find asparagus, lettuce, squash, spring onions, kale, tomatoes, and sweet corn this spring and summer.
