The Lowcountry’s first and only year-round farmers market opened in January and offers Johns Island residents and beyond the chance to purchase goods from 50 local vendors. Stock up on bread, cheese, milk, chicken, beef, pork, seafood, coffee, olive oil, spices, baked goods, sweet treats from the likes of Brick House Farms, Holy City Farms, Lowland Farms, Ambrose Farms, and Irish Farms. It also is home to craft vendors, too. Market manager Frasier Block says it’s designed to get everything on the shopping list out of the way sustainably and to educate on how to live a healthy and sustainable life. The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
