Jack's Cosmic Dogs to land on Folly Road

Ray-guns, ice cream, and fried moon pies

After 10 years of serving out-of-this-world hot dogs to Mt. Pleasant crowds, Jack's Cosmic Dogs is opening a new location on Folly Road.

Owner Jack Hurley says customers can expect the "same menu found at the original location, just with a few tweaks and some more vegetarian options."

He'll be adding new items to the dessert menu too, with more ice cream choices and a fried moon pie.

The new restaurant will maintain Jack's signature old-fashioned theme, but Hurley says this one will "expand more cosmically, like the view of the future from the '30s" with decor ranging from ray-guns to rockets.

One feature unique to the new location will be an outside ice cream window, perfect for any quick ice cream fix. Cosmic dog lovers will be pleased to hear Hurley is prepared to "open the next 10, but we have to start with number two."

So, where exactly will the new Jack's Cosmic Dogs be located? Hurley says, "Just look for the rocket." He's shooting for a mid-March opening, and we can't wait to get our Galactic fix closer to home.
