Every year, as the summer turns into fall, the Windjammer hosts Hotel Carolina, a massive showcase celebrating the art and craft of songwriting. Presented by Rock Ridge Music, an independent record label based in Newark, N.J., Hotel Carolina is a three-day songwriter extravaganza. Thursday’s lineup features Jerad Finck, Jared McCloud, Benny Marchant, Maggie McClure and Shane Henry, and Tony Dukebag and the Halter Tops. Admission is $5. On Friday, it’s Curtis Peoples, Nina Storey, Josh Hoge, Keaton Simons, and TFDI. Music starts at 7 p.m., and admission is $25. Hotel Carolina concludes on Saturday with sets from Matt Hires, Pawnshop Kings, Todd Carey, Rachel Platten, Ernie Halter, and Ingram Hill. Music starts at 7 p.m., and admission is $25.
