Facial hair is making a comeback in a big way — at least according to a beard study reported on Huffington Post. But you don’t have to tell the Holy City Beard and Moustache Society about that. They’ve been honoring whiskers for years and are continuing their stubble love with the Summer Beach Party at Sullivan’s Island. Join Charleston’s hairiest and heartiest as they gather for a fun and family-friendly seaside day of kite flying and bearded beach blanket bingo. “It will mainly be hanging out, but we will have beach games and maybe some grilling out too,” says Paul Roof, Beard and Moustache Society founder. After cooling off from the sunshine and shaking the sand out of your beard, you can join the group again at 5 p.m. at House of Brews for a few beers and more good times. Beards optional, fun is not.
