Hampton Park Plant Swap

When: Sat., May 19, 1-3 p.m. 2012
Phone: (843) 720-3862
Price: Free
It’s important to note that the Hampton Park Plant Swap is not a sale. It doesn’t matter how much cash you bring; you’re only going home with a plant if you’ve switched it with one you brought yourself. That being said, this event is a great opportunity to grow your garden, especially since each year the swap gets bigger and bigger. “The fun of it is you never know what you’re going to find,” says City Superintendent of Horticulture JoAnn Breeland. She says you might even be able to snag a sansevieria, which means nothing to us but is probably a big deal to all the people out there with greener thumbs than ours. Bring your potted and labeled plants to the café area of the park; you can swap up to 25 of them. The day includes additional activities as well, including a yard sale.
