Bill Murray reminds us more of Groundhog Day than Punxsutawney Phil, and sometimes we wish we could relive certain days too. We have a feeling we’re going to want to relive Saturday’s Groundhog Day concert again and again. The concert is a legitimate who’s who of the local music scene with Rachel Kate, Michael Flynn, Joel Hamilton, Lindsay Holler, Charlton Singleton, and a special guest appearance — twice in one month — from Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. Opposite of a Train will be backing the featured performers who will take turns at the microphone in succession. The whole Groundhog crew will take the stage for the finale. “It’s one of the best situations I could ask for in music,” says Joel Hamilton. “When we’re all breathing at the same time, you feel the music to the bone.” This is the second Groundhog Day Concert for these musicians; the first one took place in 2010 at Memminger Auditorium.
