C&B hosts Project Runway viewing party

Local designers represent

Note: This event is sold out.

After months of speculation, Lifetime recently announced the premiere of Season 6 of Project Runway. Charleston fans of the show are dually excited, as the season includes two designers with local ties — Gordana Gehlhausen, who owns Goga on King Street, and Carol Hannah Whitfield, who was an Emerging Local Designer at Charleston Fashion Week 2008.

Though the ladies have both since moved on to other places (Gehlhausen to California, Whitfield to NYC), local fans are still proud of the gals, and will no doubt be glued to the TV every Thursday to see how far they make it.

Up the glam factor by heading to Caviar & Bananas Thursday night, where you can watch the premiere with other uber-fans. Hosted by Charleston magazine style editor Ayoka Lucas, the event kicks off with a cocktail hour, music from the Spaced Invaders, and stylish prizes and giveaways. At 10 p.m., guests can have a seat and watch the show unfold on the big screen.

All guests must be at least 21 to attend, and proceeds benefit Lowcountry AIDS Services. Tickets are limited, so snag 'em soon!
