Sure, some may say less is more, but sometimes we feel that more is more. Like, six short films rather than one Titanic-length blockbuster that never ends. The Park Circle Film Society plays host to these short films from South Korea, Sweden, Brazil, and the U.S. Board member Karen Black says, “Charleston audiences seem to love short films, and Park Circle Film Society is one of the only places around town consistently offering shorts programming. The Future Shorts Festival provides us with programming blocks that are very high in quality and diverse in every way. Plus, their business model fits really well with our mission of enriching the community through film.” A note to parents wishing to bring youngsters to the screening: Because most films screened at Park Circle are independent, they are not rated by the Motion Picture Association of America. Therefore some content material may not be suitable for children.
