It's Halloween time again, and that means costume parties! A time when girls have an excuse to dress slutty and guys have an excuse to leer at them. If you're looking for a party to don that sexy nurse/angel/police officer outfit at, then the 95SX Exotic Halloween Ball is the bash for you. Revelers can dance the night away in a dungeon-themed setting to live entertainment by 95SX DJ Michael Brown and national recording artists Natalie and D.H.T. The partygoer with the best original costume (sorry, sexy nurses) will walk away with a fat check for $5,000 while the second place winner will receive a trip for two to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. A panel of celebrity judges will determine the winners via the new 95SX "costume cam," so if you're competing you'll want to look your best. It's cheaper to buy your tickets in advance so visit www.etix.com or stop by the Plex Box Office in North Charleston to get yours.

In the spirit of Halloween, Charleston Stage presents Nevermore! Edgar Allan Poe, The Final Mystery, a spine-tingling play that explores the mysterious circumstances of Poe's death. Nevermore lures the audience into some of the author's darkest tales, including The Telltale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, and of course The Raven. Thrilling special effects punctuate the drama, leaving audience members uncertain what action lies ahead. Mysterious disappearances? Magical boxes? Churning whirlpools? All are possibilities in this chilling play which features ghosts, ghouls, and even Satan himself. Directed by playwright Julian Wiles, Nevermore opened at the Dock Street Theatre in 1994 to rave reviews, so be sure to check out it this time around before the play becomes nevermore.
