MONDAY. It’s Sustainability Week at the College of Charleston. Why should you care (besides the fact that sustainability affects all of us)? We’ll let you know later.
TUESDAY. Everyone just shut up for a second and get yourself a free cone at Ben and Jerry’s. Or not, so that I don’t have to wait in line when I do.
WEDNESDAY. Find a new job at the Trident Tech Career Fair. Another installation of the Starving Artists Series features art by Patch Whisky, John Pappas, and John Pundt and more. Mellow Mushroom Avondale will host an adult-only screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you’ve got your own gear, then Happy Hour Paddling at the Backpacker is free.
THURSDAY. That sustainability thing we mentioned? It’s the Conrad D. Festa Community Lecture with Bill McKibben. Keep an eye out around town for brightly colored plastic during the Citywide Easter Egg Hunt. You can bid on a custom skateboard at Sk8 and Cre8.
FRIDAY. The Kiawah Artist and Artisan Showcase opens today and continues through Saturday. Sahkanaga, about a real-life crematorium scandal, looks like a creepy option for a Friday night movie, but you should probably just go to the first Movies in Marion Square screening of the year, which features Hugo. Our best bets for the art walk are Unmaking, Look Away, Look Here, and Plantation.
SATURDAY. Who says Easter can only be celebrated on Sunday? The Hat Ladies will stroll down meeting during their annual Easter Parade. IOP hosts their Easter Egg Hunt, and there will be a 14,000 Egg Drop in Summerville, plus Freshfields Village has their Easter Festival.
SUNDAY. Don’t let the holiday stop you from enjoying a Second Sunday on King.
