Freeloaders: Closer to Free

The week's best freebies, July 6-13

Three-day weekends are grand — except on our bank accounts. But fret not, freeloaders, we've got a week's worth of fun and free activities to help save some funds for a rainy day.

Tuesday Test your knowledge of song lyrics at Manny’s.

A mix of stand-up and improv comedy is guaranteed to get a few laughs. But, for the record, it’s uncensored.

Spend the afternoon amongst the treasure trove that is the Mt. P Farmers Market.

Wednesday The kids will pester you until you take them to see the free viewing of Disney’s Frozen. Be sure to bring a pair of earplugs because it’s the sing-along version.

Give back by giving blood.

Enjoy some local live music and PBRs (not free) on the deck at the Pour House.

Thursday It may have been almost 40 years since Jaws was released, but that doesn't stop sharks from snacking on swimmers. Catch Spielberg's unfortunately timely beach horror flick at Cinebarre.

Help the Cocktail Club celebrate its third anniversary with live music, free bar snacks, and drink specials.

Friday Hang out at Redux and get to know the masterminds behind the madness: the artists of the art center's latest exhibit, Reorientation.

Meander down by the Market for fine art by local crafters.

Head to Folly for free yoga and a potluck to start off your Friday night. It’s BYOM (that's bring your own mat).

Saturday Lowcountry poet P-Nut shares his work about living in Charleston.

Explore the shops and businesses slightly north of Spring during the SNOS stroll.

After helping cleanup Folly as part of the Barefoot Wine and Surfrider collaboration, relax with a glass of wine and cheap eats at Bohemian Bull.
Sunday We can't believe it either, but it's already Second Sunday.

It's a sad day for soccer fans. Watch the end of the World Cup at one of these locations.
