Four films to be shown for CIFF preview

A Toy Story

The Greater Park Circle Film Society is screening four short films in preparation for the 2010 Charleston International Film Festival.

First on the list is 2009 Oscar-winning live short “Toyland,” a German film about a mother who tells her son that their Jewish neighbors are going to Toyland, knowing full well that their fates are much more grim. Meanwhile, American Pie’s Jason Biggs stars in “Kidnapping Caitlynn,” a dark comedy about a girl who accidentally kidnaps her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend. The other two films include “The Beneficiary” and “Day in a Life.”

Ron Krauskopf, marketing director for the CIFF, will introduce the films and take questions about the upcoming festival after the screenings. The screenings are Sat. Nov. 7 at the Olde North Charleston Picture House (1080 E. Montague Ave.) at 4 and 7 p.m.
