With their wild hybrid of hard rock, punk, funk, and ska — and their array of dreadlocks and mohawks — L.A.-based rock group Fishbone has been big in the alternative rock scene for 20 years.
Their career was recently documented by filmmakers Lev Anderson and Chris Metzler on a forthcoming film titled Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone. The current lineup — singer/sax player Angelo Moore, bassist Norwood Fisher, drummer John Steward, guitarist Rocky George, trumpeter “Dirty” Walter A. Kibby, keyboardist Dre Gipson, and trombonist/guitarist John McKnight — brings the punk-rock funk with support from the Supervillains. Local blugrass band Flatt City plays the deck at 5 p.m.
