The City of Charleston sees a vision for local cyclists beyond that stank tailpipe they’ve been riding behind. The public is encouraged to attend the Bicycle Visioning Workshop on Sat. Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Design Center.
The drop-in session will include planners from the city, design students from the Clemson Architecture Center, and cycling enthusiasts.
The workshop will be a jumping off point for other meetings over the next 10 months to devise a formal bicycle master plan for Charleston.
Attendees will be able to view current route maps, some city cycling statistics, maps and aerial photos, and have the opportunity to talk about their vision for cycling in Charleston.
